Anyone adding aftermarket wheels on their ride?

I just ordered a set of 20" Auto Courture all black.

Be very careful with those 20's. I put a set of 19inch MOMO's on my IS 350 with P-Zero tires and I must have bent my rims 5 times just from normal driving. I don't think I'm going to change the wheels on my new IS-F, especially going more low profile as you would with 20 inch rims. I just think the suspension is too stiff and you might have the same trouble.

That said, I'm sure they'll look sick...

I agree. I for one will be keeping the 19s the car came with. The only thing I may end up changing are the RE050 for P2's. The suspension is stiff enough and going 20s on low profile is just asking for some trouble. My first flat came last week. Luckily the wheels did not get damaged in any way.

I will purchase your stock tires when you move up to 20s.

I actually have 20's on my GS450H right now and love them. I dont plan on driving the IS but on the weekends so, I think I'll take my chances on the wheels. Besides, the wheels will totally make the car look like it should. Dont get me wrong, I like the stock wheel look but they should of had at least a little lip.

As to the remaining stock wheels after changing them out, the dealer is giving me a trade in value for them. Im not sure if any of you guys have priced the stock wheels yet - $2200.00 per wheel!!!! So, be careful!!!!

You can option for the tire/wheel protection which will cover you incase you manage to damage a wheel or you hit a pothole and got a flat. The protection plan doesn't cover "cosmetic" meaning if you curb the wheel they will not replace/repair.

I happen to love the stock bbs wheels. They are forged and not cast like the RS4...and I love the gunmetal color and design. The only thing I would change is a wider front and rear wheel to fill out the fender just a hair.

I'm happy to stay with the stock BBS FORGED wheels for performance reasons. Probably one of the best stock wheels ever offered. I also love the looks of them. Still can't believe the M3 I tested had CAST wheels.

Great real world info.. Testament to the wheels strength. Glad everything went well for you with the flat other than having a flat in the first place.:D

If you're going to swap out the wheels make sure you get forged wheels, I would go with Rays (Volk Racing) wheels.

Forged wheels are a good idea for the IS-F if you are replacing the factory wheels for a new spring/summer set in the cold climate areas. However, if you are simply swapping on a set of winter only wheels the Lexus G-spider wheels are a Lexus approved fitment!
