Looks like IS-F owners are getting an early Christmas Gift (and other Holidays too..) !!

Performance Tube Systems has just received their First sample set of
Dry Carbon Fiber Exhaust Diffuser Tips for the IS-F..

You have already seen the work they did with the PTS True Dual Exhaust for the IS-F (http://www.lexusfforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=930)

At first we sat down to go over re-designing what the Lexus Engineers created back there with the exhaust diffusers.. But again after going back to the drawing board, it was obvious that we didn’t want to change the design..

So we thought why not make it look better..!!??

R&D took just a bit over a couple of months to complete.
Overall we are extremely happy with the results as they are a perfect fit & very clean finish..

These True Dry Carbon Fiber Sleeves are super High Quality and really enhance the rear bumper in my opinion..

We understand that Carbon Fiber is not for everyone, but for those who like or love it, these are perfect for you..

Production pieces are about 3-4 weeks away..

Please keep all pricing questions & availability questions out of this thread.
All I can say for now is that they will be extremely affordable and available via an Approved LexusF.Com vendor

How are the fixed ? Bolt or rivet? Would it be visible inside the tip or is it at the back?

Bjg403 09 blk&blk I would like a set.I have the k&n long tube intake,muffler delete.

I'm not a fan of these, simply because my exhaust tips are fake enough as is lol, but it's a step in the right direction and if they really do just snap over the stock pieces, that's really impressive! I'd for sure buy some snap on carbon fiber pillars to protect the original pillars...

This sounds goofy but I spit out of my car at 80mph and a little bit barely touched the pillar and ETCHED INTO IT, which is why I'd love some CF pillar covers... The whole cover concept is a good idea and caters to the anal drivers such as myself that are bothered by the smallest paint imperfections.

whats the chance and price to get them to australia.doesn't seem to be many owners online here but am considering modifying my exhaust and definately love the carbon tips.....your thoughts!

How do they attach? Do they fit over the existing stainless steel tips, or do they replace them in the diffuser body? Anyway I like the look and would add them to my F.

these just snap on over the existing tips.

Joe let me know how the titanium one goes cuz if u plan to release the titanium ones i'll pick those up.

Slide and Snap lock into place...

It takes a few minutes to remove each one.. Each CF sleeve has 4 locking tabs that secure them into place.

You will need a very small / thin pick tool to unlock each tab before they can be removed.
It takes plenty of tries and patience to get them off...
But once you have done it a few times it gets easier.

They only person that could use these would be another IS-F owner.. ;)

I almost forgot that I posted this thread here too...

We are in production right now and we will have batches coming in soon.. It's just taking a tad bit longer than expected to build up inventory, so that we have enough for everyone who places an order..

In other words.. We are not taking orders until we have enough inventory to fill orders.. ;)


We actually decided to hold up production just a tad bit, 1.5 months ago.

We thought it would be a good idea to put some hard miles on the tips, which I did..

I ran them on my F for just over 6 weeks to see how they handled daily heat cycles (city & fwy driving) and also very rainy weather that we have had here in So Cal.

They picked a very nice layer of cooked on wet road grim in 6 weeks.
After taking them off and cleaning them up, they looked pretty good (like new).

We will be working closely with our CF manufacturer to go over some minor details & we should be able to get an approx lead time on when the 1st batch will be ready.

As soon as I get more info, I will update you all again..

So far we have a target MSRP value of $350
but
have a target "Special Offer" everyday price of $299 for the entire set..

It will be available by "Vip Auto Salon Inc." and most likely Carson Toyota / Lexus Parts as well...

These tips are priced reasonable but everything else there is WWWWAAAAAAAYYYYYYY out of this world with regards to pricing. No way I will buy from those folks just because!!!! Will they be sold from anyone else?
