Has anyone placed an order for the IS-F yet or is it still too early?

Nope, I think there only taking deposits for them. Im guessing the rest will be available around september.

I did put a deposit down though.

Too early, some dealerships are taking pre-order deposits but most good dealerships wont accept deposits until vin#'s are produced and given out by the region offices to dealerships.

How can they take a deposit, and have no pricing information?

You basically give them money to give you a spot in line when then get all the info.

I don't think it's placing an "order." It's more or less getting your foot in the water before the next person behind you. It's more or less a "flash pass" which ensures your spot in the line... ;)

Good chance I will get on the waiting list early next year. Waiting for performance specs and of course pricing. Anyways will wait one model year and get the '09.
