OK after much deliberation I have decided to remove the Joe-Z true dual exhaust system from my car. It has only been on for 3 months and I have enjoyed every mile. The problem is my wife and kids will not ride in the car anymore. This has caused me grief and therefore it must go. I am having the stock exhaust system put back on the car next week. I now have a 3 month old Jo-Z exhaust system for sale. I am asking $800.00 for the system.

It was that loud? Were the kids just feeding off of your wife's reaction or is it that loud in the back seat?

I was thinking about getting this and have kids as well as a "strong-willed" wife.

I thought it sounded fantastic!! It is louder than the stock system. I own my own business and drive alot. In an effort to keep miles down on the F my wife and I will trade vehicles. After one drive with the new exhuast she said no more. I have been driving the F ever since and racking up more miles than I really want so I am conceding to the change. Small price to pay in my opinion.

Sorry to hear to you have to part with the exhaust. How many miles have you put on the exhaust? The reason I ask is that in my experience the exhaust quiets down a lot after putting about 1,000 miles on it. Your wife shouldn't judge the exhaust after it's 1st installed because that is when it is the loudest.

I agree, however, he said that after one drive his wife never set foot it the car again.

To answer some of the questions I have read. I have put over 5K miles on the exhaust system and It did not appear to become any quieter. With respect to my wife she thought the stock exhaust was loud. You have to understand our other car is a tomb quiet 06 GS300. There is no comparison between noise levels. Before everyone condemns my wife she used to enjoy driving the F. It obviously drives quite different than the GS300 and she respects that. With the JOE Z you have to live through every gear change every time. I personally enjoy the contrast between the two cars and take the 300 on long trips when the focus is on cruising and not racing! While it is true the driving experience is better with the JOE Z exhaust I enjoyed the car when it was stock as well. I will have to rely on the JOE Z intake pipe and TOM's filter for added audio. As far as shipping the exhaust, given the price is half what a new one is I currently am not offering to cover the shipping costs. If it does not sell soon I may reconsider. The exhaust won't be off the car until the middle of next week. It is in perfect condition. My car is always garaged and the car gets washed at least once a week.

It's cool! I did not take it that way at all. I was just trying to stop any further verbal wife beatings. The bottom line is you can't have a race car that also cruises silently!!!

Relax I have had my car since Feb of 08. If it was available when you were in the market for it you could have bought it. Today was first day returning to stock. WOW I thought I bought a new car. All I can say is the original engineering is spot on. I will keep the car now!!!
