: Dealer has bad info??
cdg1231 02-08-2008, 09:13 PM Hi all, I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my IS-F here in North Carolina. It seems that many of you on the West Coast have begun receiving yours so i called my dealer in Raleigh to ask if they had any info on arrival dates or which colors would be coming in and he was "informaed" by his manager that the NATIONWIDE release date was in April and that it was therefore impossible that anyone had taken ACTUAL delivery if the IS-F. Correct me if I am wrong, but some of you in CA and CO have in fact received your vehicle right??
Dealer told me when I took delivery of my IS F back on 1-31-08, that there were 20 IS F's, that had landed to be divided up amongst the Western USA's 60 some Lexus Dealers. And that the East Coast would shortly be receiving a like amount, again to be divided up amongst their dealers..
But I DO have my IS "F", and am very thankful for it !!! It brings me tons of smiles on a daily basis..... I was guess that at least 1/2 of the initial 20 are rolling on the streets today if not all of them......
Photos of mine are posted in another thread and if you search some of the "I recieved my F today", you will see that they have hit the streets.....

cdg1231 02-08-2008, 11:24 PM for replying, hopefully raleigh will get a blue and black so i'll have my pick between the two. I've tried to look at your pics but it asks me to log in and then acts as if I am simply not allowed to look at them. Anyway you could email them to me?? my email is charliedgray@gmail.com
by the way, what color combo did you end up getting? Did you choose it over any other colors?
thanks
-Charlie
bkdrft 02-09-2008, 05:00 AM Yes, I have purchased mine and took delivery on 2-7-08. I am in Central California.

Hope you like it as much as I do...Very nice car!
cdg1231 02-09-2008, 03:14 PM Very nice cars you two! Congratulations!!! Hopefully more than 20 will be allocated to the East Coast. I fear that if that few are sent here that they will be split between the big dealerships up north and the largest lexus dealership on the east coasts in Ft Lauderdale....We'll see how it goes. As soon as i get mine, I'll have detailed pics up!
brandonst878 02-09-2008, 07:43 PM Hello,
I just returned from Lexus IS-F training in Las Vegas where an F-Champion from each dealership learned the ins-and outs of the IS-F. Ask your dealer if you can speak with the F champion and he should now have some more solid info. IS-Fs are beginning to show up in our system and many are arriving this month. Ask the dealer to check his Dealer Daily site to see if there is anything in-coming. Also, I'm not sure if you are on the wait list but there may be people ahead of you in line. The car is everything it was advertised to be and more. Well worth the wait.

Congrats! Very nice looking!!!
bkdrft 02-10-2008, 06:58 AM Thank You... the car is all that it was said to be. Very nice engineering!
Bakasan 02-11-2008, 03:21 AM Nice car Bkd.
what options you have on?
please post pics on the interior.
Thanks.
bkdrft 02-12-2008, 01:57 AM It came with Navigation and Mark Levinson System the warning for backing up and front. People said it was not coming with the moonroof. Mine did. Might of been miscommunication. Will take pix of interior sometime this week and post it up.
Bakasan 02-12-2008, 02:50 AM Car can be spec'd without the moonroof.
I am going this way in an effort to get extra headroom.
rushnut 02-12-2008, 10:43 AM Anyone have any idea when I might see the first IS-F roll into So. Bay Lexus here in Torrance, CA? (About 5 mi. from Lexus headquarters).
So far, this dealer hasn't given me much info at all re: when to expect to start seeing them coming in. Obviously, I'm having trouble waiting for this thing!
Thanks, and congrats to those of you lucky enough to be enjoying your IS-Fs already. How high up your respective waiting list were you? Which colors came in first, if you know?
Drive fast, take chances.
Bakasan 02-12-2008, 04:16 PM Rushnut,
Newport Lexus and Westminster had ISFs already and I know that Newport is receiving 2 this week.
It looks like your dealership due to its size and sales does not get early allocation.
It seems your best bet is to catch the ISF in the streets as part as the Lexus fleet from Torrance.
Saw one of their Black one yesterday. Must have been earlier production/test model as the steering wheel was bi color and black interior had white stiching.
brandonst878 02-12-2008, 04:57 PM Judging by your description you saw a Nieman Marcus IS-F. Pretty cool considering they only built 50 of them.
Bakasan 02-12-2008, 05:13 PM I certainly did not like that Steering wheel with the 2 tone treatment.
rushnut 02-13-2008, 06:18 AM Bakasan,
Thanks for the tip on Newport. Was in touch with Carlsbad Lex today and they were very nice and helpful. I may go with them, pending further calls to more local dealers, like you mentioned.
Not seeing any reductions in selling price, of course, and I'm wondering if it's worth waiting until we all cool off on the excitement over this ride? Might save us all some money if we wait? Your thoughts?
awdking 02-13-2008, 01:58 PM It sure would be nice to see pics. Here in Texas we are still waiting for ours. Not sure what the delay is but would love to see some pics; esp with the moonroof option!
The ones on the road are the seats heated/cooled?
Chris
brandonst878 02-13-2008, 02:05 PM Seats are heated and perforated but not cooled. The moonroof is standard but there is a moonroof delete option. The southern region which includes TX will get an allocation very soon. We completed our vehicle request yesterday. There are some pictures already posted in a couple of the threads.

Out of curiosity, what did Lexus Carlsbad tell you? I am on the list for a red or blue ISF and a week ago Saturday they called and offered me grey or silver, neither of which I wanted, so now I'm back to waiting. For me, waiting isn't the worst thing, since I am 2nd on the list and have a $7500 deposit in on a Nissan GTR right now too and am waiting to hear what the dealer will be wanting to charge for the GTR before I decide which car I'll be getting. But I would still be annoyed if they were selling these cars to others since I have been on a list with them and have had a $1000 deposit with them since like April of last year.
SuperFreak 02-14-2008, 08:14 PM I have a Black/Black one available, email me if you are interested.

They offered me the smoky granite mica color. My first choice is black, so I'll probably pass.
SuperFreak 02-18-2008, 09:02 PM rushnut, be safe as well.:D
