: TOMs LTS Installed!!!
VipAutoSalon 03-04-2009, 07:39 PM I cant say enough about this unit. Easy 10 minute install and worth every penny. This unit changes the whole dynamics of the car. if you want to get that M3 off the line this will definately help.

skatepozer23 03-04-2009, 07:50 PM I doubt you would beat an M3 with that.
The throttle control decreases the throttle time even more than sport mode and with the throttle control the throttle would open almost violently upsetting the car and your rear tires will simply spin and the M3 would go flying to the finish.

I didnt say that it would beat an M3, just help off the line. There are four levels of sensitivity to the LTS, I'm not sure how you were able to come up with your conclusion without even testing the unit.
omarab12 03-04-2009, 08:44 PM We can beat M3s both ways! I'm not too sure what the LTS does exactly but with or without, M3s are not that much of a threat... It seems like a modification which means that the M3 will be humiliated and not only beaten! nice one VipAutoSalon
VipAutoSalon 03-04-2009, 09:18 PM Its been a long time since I actually posted on a forum. I now am reminded why i stopped. Wasnt expecting to get flamed off the bat jeezzz. It was a post comunicating my impressions on a product.
SuperFreak 03-04-2009, 09:44 PM Don't let that bother you, keep the info coming!;)
speedjunkie 03-04-2009, 09:55 PM Ive beaten M3 stock before. its when the top end of the M3 motor kicks in is the problem I always had..
RedCell 03-04-2009, 09:55 PM Thanks for the heads up. It looks like a interesting product.
omarab12 03-04-2009, 10:04 PM VipAutoSalon, Im not having a go at you Im 100% with u... I just want to know what the LTS does to the car... and how to install it... what I said is that with or without this mod we should beat M3s
BigMikeISF 03-04-2009, 11:12 PM Looking good VIP! Any more info on the specifications of the product to help us out?
I think it's a good unit to have and I've been thinking about picking one up

He is talking about me and my first reply.
Im sorry that i ruined the mod for you.
This is simply my preference that im about to say.
Ive been racing cars since the age of 16 and i love my lexus but the drive by wire connection in the ISF isnt accurate enough by a long shot.
Direct connection for throttle is so much more precise and i believe will make the ISF better because your foot controls how much throttle you want not by a computer.
and yes i do have experience with the LTS and while racing the throttle settings in the LTS (not including economy) make the throttle too ambitious.
Take for instance easing the throttle smoothly in your foot as your apexing a turn. in a direct connection throttle you can precisely add throttle to not interupt the distribution of weight between the rear and front but with the drive by wire and the LTS in any of the sport modes the throttle is too sensitive and does not follow a linear rate compared to the position of the pedal.
Like i said im not dissing the LTS im just saying for what i use the car for it is not recommended for racing.
For street use it is a fun little device though and passengers are always wowed by the ISF in the LTS sport modes.
So im sorry dude for any trouble ive caused and i just wanted to clarify, which i probably should have done in my first post
henry zzzz 03-05-2009, 03:02 AM great imfo this back n forth is why i belong here. thanx 2 all

I can appreciate VIP Auto Salon's excitement about the LTS especially if you use it for straight line. But I think what Skatepozer mentioned is right on the money. For circuits, the gizmo might not be ideal which is actually the reason why I personally did not buy one. Plus, it really did not add power or torque.
But hey, to each his own and I respect that.

Why don't you get an LTS for your IS F? :D

Racing or not, the drive by wire system lags. On my old GS400 all we had to do is add a bit more tension to the throttle cable to improve the throttle repsonse. After owning a new body GS430 and LS460 im tired of all the lag. I'm sorry, but this is the only product on the market for the F that can reduce it if not eliminate the lag entirely for me. I understand what you are saying but the avererage joe is not apexing around a city block, he/she is entering freeway or is preparing to pass a car.

Im right now trying to figure out how to change the throttle to direct connection. In older toyotas and lexuses they engineered both into their throttle bodies. Drive by wire as the main but if the drive by wire actuator went out then the direct connection would kick in. In the past with those throttle bodies all you did was disable the actuator but in the ISF they didnt put a direct connection at all due to toyota's drive by wire neve breaking down once so?
MRxSLAYx 03-07-2009, 01:55 PM Are you going to make a video? Ide like to see the difference in a strait line
brattygirl72 03-08-2009, 01:09 PM How much is the unit?
