: whats the best prices on the is-f for the new year?
what are the best prices you guys have been getting for the is-f?
EDIT:
sorry guys what i meant to say was -
Whats the lowest price everyone is getting around where they are?
either 08 or 09 but most likely only an 08 ISF will be a deal.
Bulls23337 02-08-2009, 07:31 AM '08 or '09?
ISFChamp 02-09-2009, 05:22 PM The best price is the price you buy it for !
j69raw 02-20-2009, 08:57 PM what are the best prices you guys have been getting for the is-f?
I've spent all day checking prices on the 2008's and the best price I got so far is $50,478. $54K drive out! That is with ML/Nav, park assist, wheel locks and cargo net! USB/Black interior. I'm in the Atlanta, GA.
phootdr 02-20-2009, 10:58 PM j69raw,
As stated in other posts, people have gotten as low as 42K for an 08. As Andy said, the best price is what you pay, as long as you are happy. 50k seems high, 54k is overpriced. good luck.
isfcow 02-20-2009, 11:25 PM Depends on when you purchase it. If you still can find 08 now, of course you can get a good deal. I would say at less 48k for a 08 fully loaded now.

thanks thats the type of answer im looking for.
i am trying to see what the lowest everyone is getting. i guess i was hoping that we can compare prices on this thread.
i edited my question to make more sense on what i was asking. sorry for the confusion.
im looking to know what others are getting so when i get into the dealership i am armed with solid facts instead of having them play with me when we sit down to negotiate.
you all know how the dealerships play with buyers.
1. - walk into dealership.
9am :)
2. - use the restroom
9:05am :p
3. - look around show room
9.40am
4. - salesman spots customer
9.41am http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/sprachlos/speechless-smiley-035.gif
5. - test drive ISF
9.55am :D
6. - drive back to dealership after test drive
9.56am :(
7. - walk over to salesmans desk and sit down to fill out paper work for financing
10.04am
8. - negotiation starts
10.20am
10.
- salesman starts to walk to finanace room to tell them this customer is a joke
- salesman goes to restroom but lets customer think he is still negotiating with manager.
- salesman comes back and says price is no good, they are not making any money on that.
- renogotiation for a new higher price.
- salesman goes back to manager with the higher price.
*go back and repeat step #10, twenty-six more times* http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/traurig/sad-smiley-024.gif
-customer is finally wore down and will agree to the next price cause he is hungry and wants to just drive his car now! http://www.clicksmilies.com/s1106/sauer/angry-smiley-002.gif

ISFChamp 02-27-2009, 03:55 PM I don't think your going to find a NEW 08 IS-F for $42,000. If you do, it is going to be a demo with no options on it, and even then your not going to be at $42k. I have my Black/Black DEMO with 5,1xx miles with an MSRP of $62,160 that I'm selling for $46,500 thru March 2nd !
ISFChamp 02-27-2009, 03:58 PM As far as what 949 "recommends" on doing, why make it that hard? Lexus frowns upon a dealership that makes it hard, and goes back and forth. Find a dealer you want to work with, pick out the car you want, drive it to make sure it's right for you, and if all is well, just tell the saleperson what your willing to pay. What's wrog with that? You can be suprised to see that you won't have to spend all day in the store, and everyone is happy. Just my 2 cents.
Bulls23337 02-27-2009, 05:53 PM ^Yeah, Lexus dealerships are very straightforward no BS involved. They are very friendly and don't play the "wear the customer out game until he gives up and falls into our price" like you'll find at other lower end dealerships. You be straightforward and don't play games, then they will as well.

$46,500 Drive out or $46,500 + tax and doc?
i hope so. the last time i went to a bmw dealership they gave me the run around. they eventually gave me a lower number but it wasnt until i got home at the end of the day of negotiations and the salesman called me up. i ahd actually took a day off of work just to have some driving fun after i buy the car. i just didnt think it would have been a whole day ordeal. he said they are willing to go with the number i asked for. being stupid i went back at about 10pm on a work week and picked up the car.
ISFChamp 02-28-2009, 07:47 PM j69raw,
$46,500 plus tax, title and fee's.

Oh! OK. Thanks.
crazee 03-01-2009, 02:59 AM Well there's one thing left out, usually appointment needs to be made if one were to test drive the IS F because they would have to prepare it for you this only applies to the F. I got this same response from all the dealers that I spoke with. So give them a call a head of time so things can go smoothly.
PharmD 03-01-2009, 05:27 AM FYI. Just got an 09' Matador Red Mica, black interior with navi/ML sound system for $57,500 in Portland, OR. MSRP $61,655. There is hope for discounts on 09's.
Bought mine a week ago (6k miles, Smokey Granite Mica; 7 year 100k extended warranty and LOADED) from a distressed seller $42,700 ($47,400 out the door!!)
SuperFreak 04-02-2009, 04:31 PM Bought mine a week ago (6k miles, Smokey Granite Mica; 7 year 100k extended warranty and LOADED) from a distressed seller $42,700 ($47,400 out the door!!)
Wow, did you take out the brass knuckles to make the seller "distressed"?;)

Congrats. I was offered at $45k for a fully loaded black/black with about 7k miles on it a minor scratch in the rear bumper. But instead I got me a Mercury Metallic brand new, no scratches, and only 49 miles for $48,680. Baba I was wondering did you get the tire and rim warranty?
old$parts 04-02-2009, 05:48 PM I have an 08 ISF loaded with only 946 miles.... Selling for $49,950.... color mercury metallic. This car is perfect and always stored in my air conditioned garage. If you are looking for the very best, here it is!...... Even has factory ordered Ipod connections. Not a scratch.
This beats a new price of $62k plus taxes, dealer fees, etc.
Private owner with two many play toys in my seven car garage.
If interested you my send a private message or respond on this thread.
Stratos 04-02-2009, 06:13 PM well im about to buy a fully loaded blue '08 IS-F for 49K which includes taxes so like 45k ish. It has 9880 miles on it and it only had one previous owner. Am i getting a good deal?
ISFChamp 04-02-2009, 06:53 PM Stratos, that car is a LM. Be careful. As I mentioned on the phone, I have that Black on Black brand new one here for you.
No brassknuckles used in the purchase! HAHA! As far as "Stratos's" comment regarding pricing, I think $49k is too high for 10k miles. The price offered by "Old$parts" for his IS-F ($49K with only 1k miles) is a great one!

Let me go win the lottery Old$parts and I'll buy the car right from you. :) Then I'll have two Mercury Metallic.:p
is-fowner 04-02-2009, 09:08 PM hey old parts what other "toys " do u have that r better than the F.
sulfur 04-02-2009, 09:09 PM $46.5k damn I wish I live in the USA.
BTW what is LM? Low Mileage?
ISFChamp 04-02-2009, 09:15 PM Sulfur, that is a 3rd party store that is selling that vehicle. That's all I should say...
dblazer 04-08-2009, 12:51 AM Looking at an '09 with MSRP of just under 62,000. The dealer is "able" to sell for 56,600. Thoughts on this price?
crazee 04-08-2009, 10:29 PM Dblazer what options are included if any? That price sounds something close to invoice fully loaded. Vendors can help you out more on this.
dblazer 04-08-2009, 11:45 PM Options include
Navigation System w/Mark Levinson
Intuitive Parking Assist
Trunk mat
Also is anyone aware of the rates currently being offered through LFS?
ISFChamp 04-08-2009, 11:53 PM I don't want to say that your not getting that price, but I am going to say I see no reason to sell a Brand New 2009 IS-F at no profit. 2009's are very hard to come by, and production will not resume till May. Where are you located? In the Central Region, there are not Special Rates on the IS-F, unless it's a Certified Pre-Owned. I know talking to other dealers around me, we have seen selling them at MSRP or VERY close to MSRP on the 2009's.
its now later in the year. whats the best prices everyone is getting on the IS F?

NO. you can get better pricing

i really doubt a dealership is going to not have a profit on a high end high priced car.
there is a huge margin that many people dont know and are forgetting. make less of an item and add just a few luxury items, charge 5x more than it should, and promote the hell out of it, people will pay.
there are real test and surveys done.
people will pay more just because they believe its better, not because it is but because they feel it is.
if people feel they got a great deal then thats all it needs for an awesome deal.
i love how marketing works. :D
good read right here.

Gymkata 08-04-2009, 03:03 AM I don't know what current offers are, but a couple months ago I got my new 08 ISF for more than 13k below MSRP.

nice, that what im talking about.
now how do i get in on that. or even on a new 09. i think soon i should b e able to get that with the 09.
ISFChamp 08-04-2009, 04:56 PM ^ I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting... Lexus scaled down production on the 2009's so they would not have to worry about trying to sell them off like the 2008's.
OKCIS 08-05-2009, 01:59 PM They only scaled it down by 25 cars total. Considering overall Lexus sales are down 41.6% for the 2009 year and 36.1% for the IS model itself id say that scaled down production isnt going to matter and there will actually be more 2009 models sitting around waiting.
I might consider another one if the prices ever get to where i feel the car is worth it. Used ones are selling for more then what you can buy a new one for thats kinda sad people are that upside down in these cars. That says more to me then performance numbers.
Most i would pay new for one right now is $45K (which can be done if you look enough) most i would pay used is $40K which doesnt seem to be able to be done right now. Cheapest used ive seen lately is $48K.

good info.
the prior guy is a dealer and hence i would expect for him to push sales for the dealerships. ill keep this post till dec and see if what he says will hold. if it doesnt then it will be proof that dealerships are always pushing higher number to unknowledged consumers.
disordr 08-06-2009, 06:29 AM Like one of the the other owners on here, I got a great deal on my 08 ISF when I bought it back in Feb of 2009.
At that time, they were sitting on the lots, and dealers wanted to get rid of them. Add to that the 5K toyota incentive that dealers were getting, and you could really make a deal.
most of that has changed. no more super-duper manufacturers incentives, and (at least around here) most of the 09 F's that arrive at the dealers are getting sold (just like the IS 350C). So things are picking up, and you'll be hard pressed to find an 09 for too much below msrp.
as far as finding a used one, i know i don't plan to give mine up anytime soon! :)

Hes actually a pretty straight forward guy I talked to him on the phone when we were looking for my wifes First IS-F and he shot me a price i think of $47,200 if i remember right. The only reason we didn't buy it from him was the dealer in Dallas matched it and for me its 2 hours to Dallas vs 2.5 days back and forth to Chicago. The sales and production numbers are public info so you can find it all over the place if you search for it.
I got my brother-in-law into a new IS250 this morning for $30K OTD only thing it didnt have was Navigation. Its basically just a matter of doing your homework before you fly into a dealership and try to buy a car. I gave him the info he needed and the dealer did it. The salesman said he was surprised cause 2 days ago someone else tried to buy the exact same car and his boss wouldn't go $1 below $32,600
The main thing to remember is do your homework up and down and 50 different ways. Talk to no less the 5 dealers even more if your really going for the deal. Last but not least dont ever ever think you are getting over on the dealer. Its just like Vegas they are still making their money on you. they are a business so they have to and you cant fault them for that you just have to play the game of Not let me try and beat the dealer but how much can i limit my ass kicking from the dealer. You do it that way and you will always walk away with a better deal then the average joe but they dealer always wins. ALWAYS.

i wasnt trying to make that guy a bad guy, i know he is only doing a job and trying to make $$$$$$$.
as for your statement on your next paragraph, i am with you 100% in agreement.
people don't realize that dealerships make sooo much money even if they say they dont.
i get alot of "oh, we aren't making any money off you if i discount 500.00 bucks".
thats total b.s. there is much money to be made in a sale.
ill call around and see what i get.
thanks for the info.

Andy, wasn't the above more a function of slow sales and poor economy than of worrying about the 09s being sold off like the 08s? Its like what came first, the chicken or the egg? Slow sales = lower sales prices or lower production due to slow sales and keep prices (demand) elevated??? In addition, now that the 10s are right around the corner and the Torsen Ltd Slip and some other goodies are added (as well as $1000 to the MSRP), the 09s should be dropping quite a bit too. Awesome car, BUT I don't believe it was the sales hit that Lexus had intended to get people into the showroom and buy it or other Lexus products? Does Lexus Mgmt care? Sure they do, they have a lot of money wrapped up in the development of the car (we were told so at the IsF event last summer 2008 in Joliet) . We all shouldn't feel bad, the NEW M3 has not been a runaway hit for BMW as well.
it is my belief that the new Torsen will make quite a few of us want the 10 model, particularly if it cannot be adapted to the 08-09 models for whatever reason (ECU tune, mechanical??) Thus, more the reason the 09s will really drop due to demand (or lack thereof).

$30k otd for a new is250? kinda hard to believe, unless its a leftover 08 without awd and manual trans. More details please!!!
fourml8r 10-27-2009, 09:55 PM i am looking for a 2008 leftover now, supply is dwindling. for loaded ones (Msrp $61,500) nav, levinson audio, park assist etc. they are selling for $49,500 in my area.
